REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS E ESTRATÉGIAS DE VIDA EM ESPAÇOS

Resumo:
No presente artigo expõe-se um estudo exploratório realizado a n ível da problemática da exclusão social. É um estudo no qual se analisa esta problemática segundo uma abordagem qualitativa e compreensiva. Procura compreender a ligação entre a exclusão social e os espaços degradados e estigmatizados, por um lado, e o papel do estigma e das representações sociais marginalizantes na definição das representações sociais e de estratégias de vida por parte actores sociais que habitam em espaços degradados, por outro. Mediante entrevistas semi-directivas a habitantes de um bairro social e a sua análise temática foi possível confirmar a não homogeneidade da população em questão, assim como a construção, por parte dos actores sociais, de um “olhar de dentro”, divergente das representações sociais dominantes, assim como o desenvolvimento de estratégias de vida mediante a apropriação de recursos variados.

In the present article it is exposed a exploratory study realized within the problematic of the n social exclusion. It is a study in which this problematic is analyzed according to a qualitative and comprehensive approach. It aims to understand the connection between social exclusion and the degraded and stigmatized spaces, on one hand, and the role of the stigma and the marginalising social representations in the definition of the social representations and the life strategies by the social actors that live in degraded spaces, in the other hand.
