Liderança e inovação
Assalamu Alaikum. Peace be upon you.
The day has now come for me to say good bye. And I never expected to feel the way I’m feeling at this moment. A mix of emotions and thoughts come to my mind as I speak to you, my dear friends. And my heart is now divided in two. Half of it is extremely happy and satisfied. Happy, because I’ll be very soon together again with my beloved family in Brazil. And satisfied because of the end of my duty in this mission. But part of my heart is a little bit sad. Sad because I’m about to leave some friends behind. People that worked with me in the hard days we faced during the post electoral crisis. And also, people that testified, like me, the results of the good job done by those who joined ONUCI in the last one year.
I can tell everybody that my duty here was not easy. First, I found out not until I arrived here that my position as Senior Staff Officer Protocol was changed to Staff Officer AIROPS. Without any previous preparation for this huge task, I did my best to make the Air Operations to contribute with the goals of this mission in such a delicate moment. And along with my good friend Thaer, the Chief AIROPS, I’m 100% sure that we succeeded in this intent. Many flight hours of Air Reconnaissance Missions, including the monitoring of Liberian Border, were planned by us, and in the end, I can say thank God for helping us achieving our aims.
Later on, on October 2011, the Chief Of Staff, General Bala, asked me to resume my position at Protocol. I came to this cell and started learning everything on this new task. And, again, I found some friends that helped me a lot and which I now mention: Maj Younis, my deputy, and Cap Dadjo. For you, my colleagues, I can only say thank you, for the support on Protocol’s activities, and for helping me to make the cell successfully achieve its propose.
At this point, I’d like also to direct some words of gratitude to my big bosses. First, to the FC, for
