Neoliberalismo, confiabilidade e reforma estrutural na América Latina: os casos de Argentina, Brasil e México.
Abstract
This test profile monograph was designed as an exploratory foray on the background of the political-economic-institutional transformations ocurred in Latin America in years 80 and 90 under the aegis of neoliberalism. As a thematic work, we opted for an investigation about the changes occurring in three major Latin American countries: Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. In general, we intend to include the movement of neoliberalism in LA as a minor case of a global phenomenon. However, given the political characteristics of these countries [transitions from dictatorship to democracy] and the traumatic experiences from the proceedings of stagflation in recent 30 years, we aim to show certain peculiarities of such cases. In this sense, the study of political and economic crises will present itself as a significant element of our propositions. The approach presented in this monograph will be to spread the study of the concept of reliability. Such an approach will be useful for understanding the phenomenon of expanding the sphere of global markets and to study the relationships between governance, governability, and trustworthness in this context of profound rearticulations of the state´s institutional frameworks. In this sense, our proposal will be indulged by a dialectic between historical analysis and a critical theoretical and analytical approach that will try to understand the relationships between economic agents and political contexts of crisis and distrust.
