Personal letter - au pair
Hi host family, how are you? Well, my name is Patrícia, I'm 25 years old and I live in a small city called Três Coroas. There are many shoe companies here, and it's very good live here because it is near the beach, big cities and mountains. I live with my grandfather, Darci, he's 64 years old. My mom lives near my house, with her husband and my two brothers, Uiliam, 20 years old, and João Vitor, 2 years old. I work in the City Hall since 2007. I like my job and my co-workers, because besides co-workers, we're friends. When I'm not at work, I'm in the English Class, in the Kindergarten where I'm a volunteer or I go to the gym. My days is very busy, so on the weekends I relax, go to the beach, go to the movies, parks, go out with my friends and stay with my family in the traditional Sundays lunch. Although I'm very happy with my life here, I´ve always dreamed about travelling to another country to improve my English, learn other cultures and make new friends. The au pair program was the best choice for me, because besides taking of children (something that I love), I'll be part of an American family. I'm sure it will be a wonderful year, because I like to try new things and I´ll do my best for you to consider me as a family member, an older sister. Being with children is something that really makes me happy, because kids are honest, truthful, and I love to dedicate myself to them. Being with my little brother, cousins, godchildren or in the kindergarten where I'm a volunteer is very rewarding and pleasant. I enjoy to play with them, because they have imagination, are fun (in the most of the time), creatives and have a lot of energy! I´d like to tell you about my English, because I know this is very important too. I´ve been learning English for three years and a half, and I'm very dedicated, specially in the last months, which I´ve been learning expressions, words, toy names, objects used with children... I confess that I'm a little shy to speak, but
