RESUMO A obra de Euripedes, Medeia, trás á tônica do Adultério e suas consequências. Onde Medeia inconformada com o rompimento de sua relação matrimonial com seu marido da inicio a um plano vingativo para punir seu ex-companheiro. Nesta trama o autor nos mostra a importância da peça para aquela época, onde não era dispensado o tratamento correto, digno, para as mulheres. O inicio deste trágico acontecimento é datado de 431 a.c. onde Jason, filho de Aison rei de Iolco, organiza uma expedição para recuperar um tosão de ouro a mando de Pelias, que assumiu a coroa de Iolco banindo o rei legitimo Aison. A expedição foi batizada de Argonautas que tinha como destino Cólquida (região da Asia Menor, ao norte da atual Armênia), local onde se encontrava o tosão de ouro, o qual era bem guardado pelo rei Aites pai de Medeia. Nesta expedição Jáson conhece Médeia, e que posteriormente contraem-se o matrimonio. Que Médeia após ser traída e abandonada por Jáson, tempo mais tarde, inicia um plano de vingança contra o mesmo.
