Smart Choice Starter – Level 1 – Morning/Afternoon

Unit 2 objectives
The unit’s current objectives are to teach how to give personal informations, like address, birthday, favorite food, favorite singer, phone number and find out personal information about someone else. The target grammar of the unit are the possessives and the Wh- questions with be.
Lesson objectives
At the end of class, the students will be able to tell what they have learned in the first unit, give personal information and ask for personal information about someone using the possessives and wh-questions with be.
Stage 1: Warm up
The class will start with with the teacher checking what the students have already learned in the last unit , than, the teacher will ask them if they have any doubt to explain and after that, the teacher will make an introduction of the following unit.
Time: 10 to 15 min.
Stage 2: Vocabulary: personal information
Books opened on page 10. After making a little introduction of the following unit, the students will answer the activities number 1 and 2. On the number 1, they will have to look at the pictures and write the correct letter. On question number 2, the will just have to reorganize the letters to form the words. Then, the CD will be played to check the answers.

Time: 10 to 15 min.

Stage 3: Conversation
Now, books opened on the page 11. The students will complete the conversations. Then the CD will be played to check the answers. The teacher will ask them if they have any vocabulary problem. After that, they will work in pairs to practice the conversation. One pair will be choosed to represent the conversation to the class. Than, the teacher will change the pairs to make them practice with another classmate.
Time: 20 to 25 min.
