Abstract
Our work has as a major objective the analysis of author-function and authorial effect in
Ariano Suassuna’s "Auto Compadecida" (2005), guided by the concepts-notions of commentary and file. Specifically, we aimed to describe the enunciative regularities present in some leaflets written by Leandro Gomes de Barros, which are incorporated in Suassuna’s play; we also meant to analyze how the discourse of leaflets [cordéis] is embodied in the text of
Suassuna; we see how interdiscursivity crosses through these texts. As for our corpus, we analyze "History of the horse whom defecated Money" and "The Money" by Leandro Gomes
de Barros and "Auto Compadecida" by Ariano Suassuna. Therefore, we will support our hypothesis with the theoretical analysis of speech in French tradition and contributions given by the French philosopher Michel Foucault to this field of knowledge. The analysis reveals that the utterances recurrent in Leandro Gomes de Barros’ leaflets reappear in commentary form inside Suassuna’s text. Suassuna renews the "already said" through authorial-function, reusing a leaflet-specific character that confirms the construction of a trace of Northeastern identity: the artfulness as a way of survival.

Nosso trabalho tem como objetivo maior analisar a função-autor e o efeito autoria, em “Auto da Compadecida” de Ariano Suassuna (2005), tendo como fio condutor as noções-conceito de comentário e de arquivo.
