In the apartheid regime the government was controlled by white people from Europe. They created laws just for the interests of the white ones. To the black people was imposed some laws, rules of control social. * Was not allowed marriage between white and black people. * The black people could not be in determinate areas. * They could not use facilities like public showers or bathrooms.
This system lasted until 1990. Nelson Mandela was in jail about 27 years for fight against the regime of segregation. In 1994 he became the first black president in South Africa.
The Bang Bang Club
The movie show us a routine about four journalists who take photos in wars. Is based on a true story that happens between 1990 and 1994 in South Africa. The movie portrays the extreme violence of the apartheid and how was to live in South Africa in that time.
In the end of the movie we can see the two survivors from the Bang Bang Club, João and Greg, that follow two different ways in the end of the war.

Apartheid was a time of a major dispute between black races.
In the movie, we can see that huge dispute, because a lot of people was assaulted till dead, even if they're not guilty, was enough to be from a different race.
The photographers tried to develop that situation to the world, trying to put peace, equal rights to everyone. The movie ends when with the multiracial and democratic elections, just like Nelson Mandela did to exist peace between the races in South
