The Forerunner Curriculum is a foundational, one-semester, general program of study that all incoming students to International House of Prayer University are required to complete before proceeding with specific programs of study. The curriculum is designed to provide students with an overview of the foundational values and theology of a lifestyle of intimacy with Jesus and urgent preparation for His return. Practical discipleship, development of the spiritual disciplines, and mentoring through an effective small group structure help students to reach for transformation in every area of their lives as they engage, both personally and corporately, in a life of prayer, fasting, and study of the Word.
• Practicum: Foundations of Grace – IHOPU Faculty (3 credits)
Wednesday, 1:00–3:00pm, January 23–May 18
Walking in the power of grace extends to all aspects of life, from how we relate to God and others to how we utilize our resources. Through this course, students develop a proper perspective on grace as the foundation of everyday Christian living. Topics of teaching include the identity of a Christian as a new creation, God’s intention for the family, and the Christian’s practical response to grace. Class sessions incorporate both lecture and ministry time.
