Uma das novidades para 2014 na Trainer é a aula de treino funcional para corrida de rua. O objetivo é melhorar a performance dos nossos alunos que amam correr e também auxilia-los na prevenção de lesões.
“Além de melhorar a eficiência da galera que curte correr, o treino funcional é muito importante para prevenir lesões, pois vai ajudar o corredor a melhorar a eficiência dos seus movimentos”, garante o professor Marcos Pudo, da Trainer.
O treinamento funcional também é indicado para melhorar o equilíbrio muscular, a coordenação motora, mobilidade e flexibilidade e equilíbrio dinâmico, além de ser ótimo para fortalecer a região do core, estabilizar quadril, joelho e tornozelo – o que todo corredor precisa.

The Alpine skiers at the Sochi Games are reaching speeds in excess of 80 miles an hour — and at that velocity, the condition of their equipment can spell the difference between a spot on the podium and a helicopter flight to a hospital. Little wonder that ski technicians are so valued. Part crew chief, part caddie and part counselor, a ski technician is responsible for maintaining and tuning the dozens of pairs of skis a racer might use in a season.
“You’d better trust what that person is doing,” said Leanne Smith, a member of the United States Alpine ski team.
The technician maintaining her skis is Ales Sopotnik, one of several on the American team. He can spend several hours on a single pair of skis, carefully honing the edges to razor sharpness and waxing and polishing them to precisely match the snow conditions of the day’s event. He is also something of a ski whisperer, offering his counsel to the competitors.
