Resumo: A utilização de animais em pesquisas vem sendo frequentemente debatida no âmbito acadêmico, trazendo questões morais acerca da justificação de experimentos com animais, bem como sobre a necessidade/utilidade destes experimentos em nível científico. Neste trabalho,objetiva-se, primeiramente, apresentar a argumentação de Cora Diamond sobre a problemática da ética em experimentação animal e sobre como a autora aborda a tensão entre defensores das pesquisas e defensores dos animais. Após isso,traçam-se os argumentos básicos trazidos pela autora a fim de problematizar a questão. Em seguida, apresenta-se a abordagem dos filósofos Peter Singer e Tom Regan acerca da consideração moral dos animais e da questão da experimentação. Por último, busca-se definir o tratamento ideal a ser dado ao problema e inferir qual a melhor abordagem para a questão da experimentação animal em uma filosofia moral.

Animal Experimentation: the discussion presented in scientific and ethical level from the philosophical point of view of Cora Diamond, Peter Singer And Tom Regan
Abstract: The use of animals in researches has been often debated in the academic field, rising moral questions concerning the animal experiments justification, as well the need/utility of these experiments in scientific level.
First, in this paper, itis aimed topresent Cora Diamond’s argumentation on the ethical issues related to animal experimentation and about how she addresses the tension between supporters of research and animal advocates.
After that, it will approach the basic arguments brought by the author to problematize this question. In the following, it will be presented the philosophical proposal of Peter Singer and Tom Regan concerning the moral consideration of animals and the question of experimentation.
