A ALIENAÇÃO DO INDIVÍDUO EM MAX HORKHEIMER

RESUMO:
O presente artigo busca analisar os fenômenos da alienação à luz do pensamento horkheimeriano, embasado nas transformações sociais e históricas nas quais o indivíduo vê-se inserido. Analisam-se alguns ensaios da década de trinta e quarenta, do século passado, que retratam as contradições sociais, traduzindo-as em reflexões: a racionalização dominante do pensamento e a indiferenciação do indivíduo no mundo moderno. O objetivo deste trabalho é mostrar o estatuto filosófico que o conceito de indivíduo e sua consequente alienação ocupam no pensamento do autor, como também a contradição da razão, que cada vez mais fortalecida torna o indivíduo enfraquecido na tarefa de servir à humanidade. Enfatizar que a razão encontra-se eclipsada e não destruída, permite creditar ao autor a confiança que deposita no indivíduo, na condução de uma vida humana digna.

ABSTRACT
This paper seeks to analyze the phenomena of the individual’s alienation in light of Horkheimer’s thoughts, grounded by the social and historical transformations in which the individual found themselves inserted. Some essays from the thirties and forties of the past century. They portray social contradictions translating them into reflections: the rationalization of the dominant thought and the non differentiation of the individual in the modern world. The objective of this work is to show the philosophical statute which the concept of individual and its subsequent alienation occupy in the philosopher’s thought, as well as the contradiction of reason, more and more empowered, but at the same time, making it weak in the task of serving humanity.
