Abstract
From reading the book The Future of Democracy, Norberto Bobbio, we observed that the author defends democracy formed by a set of rules. In the design of Bobbio, the majority rule is just one element used for the calculation of votes in a real democracy.Given the inability to install a direct democracy in modern states because of the complexity of society, the representation of power is necessary. In this step, Bobbio argues that elected representatives can not exercise imperative mandates, ie can not be tied to special interests and notes that this prohibition is explicitly violated, because the elected representatives are bound to the partisan interests to which they are affiliated.
