TERCEIRIZAÇÃO DA ARMAZENAGEM DE PEÇAS DE MANUTENÇÃO, REPARO E OPERAÇÃO Antônio Artur de Souza Luiz Otavio Leal Ruas Eugênio Mariante Erik Dias

RESUMO Os objetivos desse estudo foram: (1) identificar os custos de armazenagem de Peças de Manutenção, Reparo e Operação (MRO) na Ferrovia Centro Atlântica S/A, empresa do grupo Vale; e (2) identificar e comparar o custo de contratação de funcionários próprios e de terceirização dos serviços por meio de contratos com operadores logísticos. Como principais resultados do estudo, foram identificados e descritos os indicadores operacionais e os custos da operação da armazenagem com funcionários próprios e com equipe terceirizada. Foi possível identificar as informações a serem consideradas na decisão de manter funcionários próprios ou de terceirizar as atividades de operação de armazéns de peças de MRO. Os resultados deste estudo representam um modelo básico de decisão e podem ser utilizados como base para analisar futuras aquisições pela Vale. ABSTRACT This study aimed at identifying the costs of the Warehouses of Parts of Maintenance, Repair and Operation in the Ferrovia Centro Atlântica S/A. The objectives of the study were to present the cost of operating the warehouses with own employees and the cost of contracts with logistic operators. The main results from this study include the identification and description of a set of operations performance indicators, and the identification of the warehouse operating costs for the two management models. It was possible to identify and describe the information that is necessary to make the decision between both choices. In other words, it was possible to present the information that is required to decide between keeping the operation and outsourcing it to a logistic operator. The results from this study represent a basic decision model and it could be used as basis for analyzing future incorporations by Vale group.
