RESUMO
Um dos maiores gênios da pintura e da escultura renascentista também foi responsável por um grande número de invenções vanguardistas. Leonardo Da Vinci viveu entre os séculos 15 e 16. Com o curioso hábito de escrever ao contrário, ele planejou modelos de paraquedas, tanques e escavadeiras muitos anos antes desses aparatos tomarem forma.
Poucos projetos concebidos pelo polímata italiano foram construídos durante sua vida, mas recentemente mostras sobre o gênio têm retomado seus estudos e desenhos para representar sua engenhosidade tecnológica. Invenções como um tanque blindado e a asa-delta, muito à frente de seu tempo, são algumas das ideias de Leonardo Da Vinci.
Artigos inicialmente inconcebíveis e futuristas saíam de sua mente a todo instante e, mais tarde, acabaram por mudar os rumos da ciência. Confira a seguir nove réplicas das principais criações do gênio italiano, representadas por imagens da exposição As Máquinas de Leonardo Da Vinci, realizada em Brasília (DF).

ABSTRACT
One of the greatest geniuses of Renaissance painting and sculpture was also responsible for a large number of avant-garde inventions. Leonardo Da Vinci lived between the 15th and 16th centuries. With the curious habit of writing on the contrary, he planned models parachutes, tanks and bulldozers many years before these devices take shape.
Few projects designed by the Italian polymath were built during his life, but recently shows about genius has resumed his studies and drawings to represent his technological ingenuity. Inventions like an armored tank and hang-gliding, far ahead of his time, are some of the ideas of Leonardo Da Vinci.
