RESUMO

A proposta do presente trabalho é apresentar definições e conceitos que englobam a Eutanásia e a Ortotanásia, traçando paralelos entre elas, com a finalidade de trazer melhor entendimento acerca do morrer com dignidade. E junto a essa questão, encontram-se a ideia da autonomia no processo morte, ou seja, até que ponto a decisão do paciente deve ou não ser aceita, respeitando os preceitos constitucionais, alinhada ao sofrimento da família, e grande obstáculo na sociedade com a visão conservadora, mas com a decisão final cabendo a quem tem direito.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to present definitions and concepts that comprise the Euthanasia and orthothanasia, drawing parallels between them, in order to bring about better understanding of dying with dignity. And with that question, are the idea of autonomy in the death process, namely the extent to which the decision of the patient should or should not be accepted, respecting the constitutional requirements, aligned to the suffering of the family and in society with big obstacle the conservative vision, but with the final decision with whom you are entitled.
