RESUMO
Mediante estudos e pesquisas bibliográficas, relataremos nesse artigo a importância do meio ambiente como recurso natural do nosso planeta terra, destacando o lixo como uma grande problemática e a educação ambiental uma forma de conscientizar e informar sobre a preservação e conservação do mesmo. Cabe ressaltar que a proteção ao meio ambiente é um pressuposto valioso para o entendimento de outro valor fundamental, que é direito a vida. O meio ambiente nos oferece todos recursos naturais dos quais precisamos para sobreviver, dessa forma é relevante e eficaz que nos preocupemos com o presente, como o que esta acontecendo agora, e também nos preocupemos com o que vai acontecer no futuro, tomando cuidados para que as gerações futuras possam se manter e sobreviver, através da herança deixada pela geração passada.

ABSTRACT
Through studies and literature searches, we report in this paper the importance of the environment as a natural resource of our planet earth, highlighting the garbage like a big problem, and environmental education a way to educate and inform about the preservation and conservation of the same. Importantly, the protection of the environment is a valuable prerequisite for the understanding of another core value, which is the right to life. The environment provides us with all the natural resources they need to survive,so it is relevant and effective to be concernerd with this, as what is happening now, and we also worry about what will happen in the future, taking care to that future generations can keep up and survive, through inheritance left the past generation.
