Resumo
Este trabalho comparou o recrutamento de fibras do Reto femoral (RF) e Vasto lateral (VL), por meio da eletromiografia (EMG), antes e após o uso da eletroestimulação (FES).
EMG - os eletrodos foram colocados no músculo Reto femoral e vasto lateral do membro inferior direito, a Paciente M.F.S.M. realizou uma contração Isométrica de quadríceps contra a resistência do fisioterapeuta por 5 segundos. O valor coletado no EMG em 02/03/2007, em RF foi: Valor máximo – 105,96µV, Valor Médio – 25,37µV, e em VL foi: Valor Máximo – 126,39µV e o Valor Médio – 24,43µV.
Após 5 (cinco) sessões de 10 minutos de eletroestimulação (FES), com freqüência de 30Hz, sustentação de 5 segundos, e com rampa e repouso habilitado, foram coletados novos valores no EMG com o objetivo de verificar se houve aumento significativo do recrutamento de fibras de RF e VL.
Em 16/03/2007 foi realizado uma nova coleta no EMG, os valores obtidos são: RF – Valor Máximo de 374,49µV, Valor Médio – 229,62µV, e em VL – Valor Máximo – 203,28µV e Valor Médio – 96,91µV.

Abstract
This work compared the staple fiber conscription of the femoral Rectum (RF) and Vast lateral (VL), by means of the electromyography (EMG), before and after the use of the electric stimulation (FES).
EMG - the electrodes had been placed in the femoral Straight muscle and vast lateral of the right inferior member, Patient M.F.S.M carried through a Isometric contraction of quadriceps against the resistance of the physiotherapist per 5 seconds. The value collected in the EMG in 02/03/2007, in RF was: Maximum value - 105,96µV, Average Value - 25,37µV, and in VL was: Maximum value - 126,39µV and the Average Value - 24,43µV.
