Management Skills aims to improve organizational performance, improve knowledge of people at work to generate the expected results for the company and to achieve competitive advantage. To develop the theme, the overall goal was developed that sought to identify the contributions of competency management for organizations. As well, consisted of specific goals that are divided into chapters and serve to address the problem of starting the job: conceptualizing competency management, evaluate the evolution of competency management in organizational context, to describe the main models of competency management ; study the applicability of competency management and present contributions of competency management. Management Competency models shown in the theoretical part were: Iceberg, Tree of Skills, Skills House, Pyramid of Skills, Competence as Source of Value and
Development of Managerial Skills. Was used in this thesis research methodology literature and secondary data to the theoretical analysis and the study of the company chosen to check the management model adopted. The adoption of competency management model results in significant contribution to the development of organizational skills and directs it to the positive results in the market.
