 Mass media are all means of communication that exist

like the press, the radio, the TV and the internet and are meant for a big public.
 Their main goal is to give people information, news and

gossips about what they usually like to hear about.

 The information given to people is sometimes controlled

by powerful entities like the government or rich people.
 This happens mostly on TV and the press because they

can’t publish everything they want, while internet and cell phone users can without so many risks.
 This way, the present is marked by a chain of

connections in which a small rumor can turn into a big problem and destroy someone’s life on the other side of the world.

 They keep people updated about everything that

is happening on the world.
 The media allowed the society to acquire and sell

cheap information very quickly.

 Although the main goal of mass media is to give

people the information they want, advertising is constantly involved.

 Mass Media have become an addiction making

people that spend too much time using them often feel bored and alone, they prefer to watch television or stay on the computer instead of hanging out with friends and family, they stop practicing exercise.

The presence of the media is inevitable but it’s up to us to manage it while we can.

 Globalisation is the process of cultural, economical,

social and political integration.
 It has always existed but it only gained the

importance it deserved after the technological revolution.
 The process of globalization relates to

the way countries interact and bring people closer creating a “global village”

 The most notable impact of globalisation

is the spreading of international brands and ideas
 We can find a Mac Donald's

everywhere, we can drink a Coca-Cola every time we want, we can find a Chinese store in every city thanks to globalisation
 Without it we wouldn’t have all the

accommodations
