Creating a Physical Education Curriculum in the 21st Century1. What knowledge, understanding, attitudes and characteristics do we want our pupils to learn in and through Physical Education?
We want pupils to learn: How to: formulate rules, concepts, tactics, strategies, exercise patterns, compositional ideas, choreographic principles, etc. And in specific activities: How to: outwit opponents, problem solve, replicate accurately, express and communicate, perform at maximum output, exercise for health and wellbeing
We want pupils to learn: balance co-ordination. Control of: • large motor movements • fine motor movements.

We want pupils to learn: how to exercise safely and effectively to grow: • muscles • body organs • bones. And how to develop: strength, speed, stamina and suppleness

We want pupils to learn: why PE, sport, dance and physical activity are important and a love for physical activity and a commitment to it. And also: enjoyment, confidence, aspiration, determination, wellbeing.
