CRISTIANISMO E PAGANISMO NA TRADIÇÃO LITERÁRIA DA IRLANDA MEDIEVAL O CASO DA TÁIN BÓ CÚAILNGE VERSÃO LL

Resumo A partir do sc. VII, a cristianizao da Irlanda acentuar as rupturas com o passado cltico, enquanto inicia-se um processo de reestruturao de tradies monsticas para promover a normalizao da igreja catlica europia. Na Irlanda, este processo ser encabeado pelo bispado de Armagh que, com pretenses de se tornar a autoridade eclesistica central da ilha, suportar argumentaes sobre a legitimidade da unificao poltica de territrios e poderes locais em torno da dinastia i Nill. O pice desses processos se d no sc. XII, quando a tolerncia manuteno das tradies nativas ser negada, revelando uma sociedade que caminha para sua autodestruio, e cujos valores culturais, ainda presentes nas mentalidades sociais, lutam para sobreviver, como nos mostra a narrativa da Tin B Cailnge. Abstract From the seventh century on, the Christianization of Ireland will accent the breaks with the Celtic past, while a restructuring process of the monastic traditions begins to promote a normalization of the European Catholic Church. In Ireland this process will be headed by the Bishopric of Armagh that, detaining claims to be the island central ecclesiastical authority, will also support the argumentations on legitimacy of political unification of local territories and powers around the i Nill dynasty. The top level of these process will occur on twelfth century, when tolerance with the of ancient traditions will be more denied, reveling a society that walks to its self-destruction, and which cultural values, still presents in the social mentalities, struggle to survive as the Tin B Cailnge narrative can show to us.
