Hello, I am Bianca, an English student, and a future petroleum engineer. As a college student, I presenciated many debates and promises about the future. Government makes me and the rest of the students, expect wonderful things, as digitalized entrance in the University Restaurant, new buildings that will support more students, accommodations for those who come from far, and other promises. In my hometown, that is just amplified from university to the entire city. Although, I wonder, are these really promises that they will execute? Aren’t these plans empty?
In Jundiaí, the situation is even more desperating than we though. After a research of the proposals made by the near elections candidates, it was verified that over 90% of them are talking nonsense. That’s right, almost every candidate made promises that they will not succeed doing. Actually, this is even more disturbing than electing Tiririca as federal deputy, isn’t it? The problem in politics on Brazil, besides corruption, is the absence of people who understand our legislation, have a decent education and knowledge enough for making real proposals, and turning them real.
By the way, the lack of wisdom not just affects the politics in general. Let’s see, the university council that holds the power of the entire UFF, is, in fact, making new accommodations and buildings. They received an appropriation from Petrobras for it. But the architecture and the structure that they are actually building, is outdated. A wall recently fell on the new edifice of engineering. Seriously? Had to be on the ENGINEERING edifice?
This brings us another question. After the work is done, will there be enough teachers for filling the new classes? Or, will the security be reinforced in the accommodations? These days, a robbery happened. A class has been broke down, and many things were stolen, including the bike and the money from a student passing by. Ok, it is perfectly fine building new buildings.
