As concern f o r the quality of the atmosphere has grown, so also has the response to that concern. Federal, State, a ndlocal p rograms a r e assuming increasingly greater responsibility in the development and practice of the many disciplines that contribute to understanding and resolution of the a i r pollution problem.
Rapid p rogram e xpansion imposes even greater demands for the dissemination of knowledge in the field of a i r pollution control. Much work has been accomplished by competent scientists and engineers. However, in many instances, the experience gained has not been transcribed and organized into a form readily accessible to those
