ABSTRACT The chicken and beef’s production chain in Brazil developed and transformed the country in to on of the greatest producers and international dealer of this product. Nevertheless, these products present different governance structural. In the chicken’s productive chain, the governance structure that energizes the poultry industry has as a main factor the contractual relation between the processor and producers, also known as vertical integration or almost-integration. In the beef’s productive chain, organized governance structural is hardly seen, as is an integration structure, contribution to lack on arrangement, underground proactive an opportunists intermediary. To the New Institutions Economy Theory, it is known that the transactions with the coordination action brings gains of bargain to all the networking agents, reducing the uncertainty, the transaction costs, and the opportunism behavior beside others, all based on the grater production standardization and the total qualitative takes. In this scope, the need to establishment a better governance coordination to the beef productive chain, as it is on the chicken productive chain between government and private relationship is clear, besides the necessity of a more severe supervising activity. In this paper, the methodology process of making use of literature bibliographic revision and field research with producers was applied. The purpose of this paper, therefore, is to demonstrate the most important links of these productive chains, emphasizing these distinguished governances an structural differences, suggesting greater structure coordination to the beef productive
