Abstract: Most of collected data from the institutions take care to Goias/Brazil amputees were lost or underutilized. There is no standardization of amputees’ physical therapy evaluation between these institutions. It brings on terms disparate and impairment data. It is necessary to develop a standardized physical therapy evaluation for amputees. Firstly, orthopedic physical therapy evaluations from 7 institutions were collected. They were compared with each other and with literature.
Each item of physical therapy evaluation was analyzed and it was created the standard one to answer the complete and general evaluation. A
Standardized Physical Therapy Record for
Amputees (SPTRA) was developed. It was divided in
4 sections: 1) Identification, 2) Anamnesis, 3)
Physical Examination and 4) Final Opinion. The
SPTRA was evaluated and approved by the majority of the questioned professionals on the present study.
It makes the process of physical and functional assessment of amputees more organized, improving health care quality assessment and making it more efficient. Key-words: Disability Evaluation; Amputees;
