ABSTRACT:
The opening of new markets imposed strong pressures to the national industry, provoking intense run by improvements in its productive systems. The Brazilian Footwear Industry has been enough affected by the competition of the imported products (in particular the footwears produced in China).
This paper aim to analyze and to discuss the system of programming of the production of soles and inner soles of an factory of a great company of the footwear section, that makes use of the visual technique Kanban, maid with the objective of decreasing the amount of stocks in its productive plants and, consequently, the decreasing of acquisition and maintenance costs of the stocks. For so much, technical visits were accomplished to the factory as well as collection of information with its leaders, through interviews and questionnaires. After to confront the expressed recommendations for the literature of the area, it was verified that the main rules of operation of this system, observed in the studied company, are in conformity with the literature suggests and that the advantages of the use of this system are considerable.
