ABSTRACT
The objective was to develop a software for collecting, storing and interpreting spatial and temporal images / maps of global solar radiation obtained from Solarimetric Atlas of Brazil (Federal University of Pernambuco). The processing and interpretation of solar charts to obtain the intensities of solar radiation techniques are based on Digital Image Processing. The software is open source, and free public access, allowing greater exchange and interaction between the various institutions of education and research in the country. The project allows, from the reading of the solar atlas project the global radiation on horizontal surfaces (completed) and inclined (in development) .The software apesentou satisfactory results. Thus, the potential of Solarimetric Analysis System (SASI) represents a significant technological gain, allowing a wider and more flexible use of the Atlas Solarimetric Brazil, expanding its limits to applications on inclined surfaces of different orientations.
