RESUMO

ABSTRACT

Os autores estudaram os elementos anatômicos que compõem a articulação da sínfise púbica, salientando sua importância na estabilidade estrutural e funcional.
Realizaram também uma revisão crítica da literatura pertinente. Foram estudadas 10 articulações de cadáveres a fresco, sendo realizada a dissecção pormenorizada de todos os elementos anatômicos, procurando salientar as estruturas de suporte ligamentar, músculos periarticulares, bem como a estrutura macroscópica do disco intra-articular. O estudo anátomo-funcional dessa articulação é essencial para o diagnóstico e tratamento das síndromes dolorosas que ocorrem, principalmente, na prática esportiva.

Contribution to the functional anatomic study of pubic symphysis: critical analysis of 10 anatomical pieces

The authors studied the anatomical elements that makeup the pubic symphysis joint and discuss about their importance for structural and functional stability. They also performed a critical review of the relevant literature. They studied ten ‘fresh’ cadaver joints through a detailed dissection of all anatomical elements, among which the structures of the joint support and the periarticular muscles, in addition to the macroscopic structure of the intra-articular disk. The functional anatomic study of such important joint is essential for the diagnosis and treatment of painful syndromes mainly occurring in individuals that practice sports.
