RESUMO

Trata-se de uma resenha sobre o trabalho de Friedrich Engels A Origem da Família, da Propriedade Privada e do Estado que junto com Karl Marx, esmiúça as relações gregárias e a formação da família que hoje em dia conhecemos na forma de monogamia patriarcal, resultado de uma relação de posse material. Desde o início dos tempos ele faz uma análise do início da civilização moderna relacionando com o passado primitivo usando grandes referências como: Lewis Henry Morgan e seu livro A Sociedade Antiga que relata historicamente a formação do homem e a relação de sociedade. Com uma visão marxista, resgata os valores familiares e os compara com a horda dos tempos de selvageria e barbárie, chegando à civilização moderna.
