Oasis were a Rock band from Manchester, England. The group emerged as a worldwide brand of traditional British Rock. The band established itself as one of the most acclaimed of the year 1990. The Oasis was known to be heavily influenced by The Beatles. The 1st album was released in 1994.
On August 28, 2009, the Gallagher brothers, discussed before a concert (this concert that was canceled because the confrontation occurred 30 minutes before) in the Rock En Seine, Paris, which led to the departure of Noel's band. Now the band continues without Noel, but under the name of Beady Eye.

Meaning

According the media, the song is about Meg Mathews, Noel’s ex-wife. But in an interview he said “The meaning of that song was taken away from me by the media who jumped on it. How do you tell your missus it's not about her once she's read it is? It's a song about an imaginary friend who's gonna come and save you from yourself."

Our interpretation

We think this song is about a difficult relationship of some sort, where one of them feels let down and misunderstood, and maybe takes a break from the other person, while hoping that he/she after a while will understand and know what to do.
