Knowledge becomes an essential and strategic patrimony. The organizational success depends more and more on the company capacity to produce, gather, store and disseminate knowledge. The knowledge management can be applied in the eletric energy distribution industry which, as any other service, has processes that can contain failures. However, failures more serious as interruption can generate great damages, whose peculiarity is not common to other types of services. Therefore, the failure analysis in eletric energy distribution industry is very relevant, mainly for avoiding the reincidence of the same ones and to provide the system reliability, promoting to the population an essential service to its life quality. Accordingly, it will be presented a model of information system that will contemplate the failure analysis through cause and effect diagrams, facilitating the manipulation of documents and photos related to each tree. Besides, facilitating the consult of the descriptions contained in the nodes and connections of each failure tree. Consequently propitiating the knowledge management of the failure analysis.
