RESUMO

Este trabalho realiza uma revisão bibliográfica com o intuito de identificar, classificar e analisar as adaptações do sistema kanban propostas na literatura. Foram estudados 33 sistemas diferentes que foram classificados com base em seis categorias: o ano de publicação, o número de características originais mantidas na adaptação, as diferenças de operacionalização em relação ao sistema kanban original, as vantagens e desvantagens das adaptações em relação ao sistema original e a forma como foi desenvolvida a adaptação. É apresentado um breve resumo de cada uma das adaptações, integrando os esforços dispersos empreendidos por vários pesquisadores com relação ao aperfeiçoamento do sistema kanban e sua adequação às novas ou diferentes necessidades dos sistemas produtivos. Constatou-se, dentre outros pontos, que o desenvolvimento dos sistemas adaptados encontra-se numa fase inicial, uma vez que a maioria das propostas são apenas proposições teóricas que devem ser levadas em consideração para a geração de formas mais apropriadas à prática.

ABSTRACT

This paper reviews the literature regarding adaptations of the kanban system with the purpose of identifying, classifying and analyzing this literature. Thirty three different systems were studied and classified according to six categories: the publication year, the number of original characteristics preserved in the adaptation, the operational differences between the adaptation and the original kanban, the advantages and disadvantages related to the original kanban, and the way that these systems were developed. A brief summary of each adaptation is shown integrating the scattered efforts undertaken by the authors with the aim of improving the kanban system and adjusting it to the new and/or distinct necessities of the production systems.
