ABSTRACT
The social, economic, and specially, human damages due to health and security matters have a strong impact to society, workers, and social security organizations. This fact is an alert to the importance of studies and researches on workers’ security and health, mainly in the civil construction sector. We want to show the importance of creating a data basis to carry on some data related to work accidents, characterizing the occupational illnesses in the Civil
Construction of Santa Maria-RS. Considering these aspects, the objective of this study is to provide information for the preventive sectors. In relation to data obtained at the INSS and at the County Health
Department, the distribution of types and areas of lesions were investigated, so that we can map out the illnesses and parts of the body in which the workers of the sector are victimized. KEYWORDS: work security, civil construction
1.INTRODUÇÃO
As organizações têm sofrido profundas mudanças motivadas pelas transformações econômicas, sociais e políticas que vêm ocorrendo nas últimas décadas.
Diante desta realidade, a indústria da construção civil tem procurado adotar novas posturas sócio-organizacionais, melhorando seus processos, organização e gestão do trabalho. O resultado de mudanças emergentes na construção civil apontam para uma necessidade de preparação adequada do trabalhador, de forma a aumentar a produtividade, diminuir os acidentes de trabalho e o absenteísmo.
É importante a conscientização dos
