Cessna skylane
START IT UP AND IT LETS YOU GO
There is no certificate to commemorate your second graduation – the moment you go from having your pilot’s certificate to simply being a pilot. It’s a transition you just feel in your gut, and once you’ve powered a 230-horsepower climb in a Cessna Skylane, there’s no going back. A true cross-country performer, the Skylane has an 87-gallon usable fuel supply – enough to carry you nonstop from Atlanta to Orlando. It can reach altitudes up to 18,100 feet while packing a useful load of more than 1,100 pounds and cruising up to 145 ktas. Just as impressive as its performance capabilities is the Skylane’s proven track record for reliability and safety, the latter of which is bolstered by the Garmin G1000 all-glass avionics suite. This advanced flight deck provides the pilot with enhanced situational awareness and is the same state-of-the-art system used in other Cessna propeller aircraft and our Citation Mustang. Yet, despite these stateof-the-art features and impressive performance capabilities, the Skylane is low cost both to acquire and to operate – the less you spend getting there, the broader the opportunities once you arrive. HIGHER CALLING. FASTER TOO.
While the high-wing design is well established – often termed “classic” – every notion of familiarity will be left on the tarmac as you discover what the Turbo Skylane can really do. An advanced turbocharger gives the Turbo Skylane the power to easily climb to its 20,000-foot maximum operating altitude at a brisk 1,039-feet-per-minute climb. Cruise at full-rated power all the way up to 165-ktas. And with a heated prop and a built-in, four-place oxygen system, the Turbo Skylane cruises over inclement weather or mountains with ease.
