The reality of organizations and people is constant pursuit of knowledge for development and competitiveness. There is a constant need to seek best practices and reinvent them. The knowledge management produced in the institutions came to be seen as a key for institutional development. This research project aimed at researching and identifying, based on the literature, the existing concepts of knowledge management at IFES; research and identify the management practices of existing knowledge produced by IFES and managed by the BUs, identifying the IFES who put intellectual production in BU; investigate the existence of institutional process for information on IFES and its influence on knowledge management produced; raise what are the procedures for managing the knowledge produced in the IFES, outlining guidelines for the knowledge management produced in the BU /
IFES and evaluation of proposed guidelines. This is an applied research, which aims to generate knowledge and contextualize them in the social, educational, scientific and technological Brazilian reality to form to assist in solving
