LEUCEMIA LINFOCÍTICA CRÔNICA: COMPARAÇÃO
DO DIAGNÓSTICO ENTRE AS DIRETRIZES ESMO
(2011) E IWCLL (2008) APLICADAS EM RELATO DE
CASO

RESUMO – A leucemia linfocítica crônica (LLC) é uma neoplasia do sistema linfohematopoiético, a forma mais frequente de leucemia no mundo ocidental entre pacientes idosos.
Apresenta acentuada linfocitose, com poucas manifestações clínicas. Para que o diagnóstico seja concluído, os exames devem se enquadrar numa diretriz aceita pela comunidade científica
(ESMO ou IWCLL), onde estão descritas as características do hemograma, imunofenotipagem, citogenética e outros exames complementares. Este artigo utiliza o relato de um paciente com
LLC como padrão de comparação entre as diretrizes, deixando nítidas as diferenças entre elas.
Todavia, o diagnóstico é confirmado em ambos, o que poderia, com estudos mais abrangentes, significar equivalência e levar à eventual unificação.

CHRONIC LYMPHOCYTIC LEUKEMIA: COMPARISON OF
DIAGNOSIS BETWEEN THE GUIDELINES ESMO (2011) E
IWCLL (2008) APPLIED IN CASE REPORT
ABSTRACT – Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a neoplasm of the lymphohematopoietic system, the most frequent form of leukemia in the Western world among elderly patients. Presents marked lymphocytosis, with few clinical manifestations. For the diagnosis to be completed, the tests should fit a guideline accepted by the scientific community
(ESMO or IWCLL), in which are described the characteristics of the cell blood count, immunophenotyping, cytogenetic and other complementary tests. This article uses the report of a patient with CLL as a standard for comparison between guidelines, leaving clear the differences between them. However, the diagnosis is confirmed in both, which could, with more extensive studies, mean equivalence and lead to eventual unification.
