The genres in the PCN: the text as a teaching instrument

Resumo
Este artigo visa socializar algumas reflexões sobre como a lingua(gem) deve ser trabalhada na escola. São orientações que depreendemos de um dos documentos que norteia o ensino de língua: os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais do terceiro e quarto ciclos do Ensino Fundamental de Língua Portuguesa (PCN). Também trazemos reflexões de autores que embasam esse documento: Bakhtin, Rojo, Schneuwly e Dolz. Tecemos considerações sobre a concepção de leitura e de escrita presente nos PCN. Outras noções, como as de gênero, atividade discursiva e papel do locutor e do interlocutor são contempladas para ampliar a discussão sobre formas de a escola assumir efetivamente o texto como instrumento essencial para o trabalho que realiza com a linguagem. Desse modo, o artigo objetiva ampliar a discussão sobre a utilização de textos de diferentes gêneros no ambiente escolar.

Abstract
This article aims to socialize some reflexions about the way language should be taught in schools. These are orientations that we have raised from one of the documents that guide the language teaching: the National Curricular Parameters of the third and fourth cycle for the Portuguese Fundamental Teaching (PCN). We also bring the reflexions of some of the authors that give the theoretical support to this document: Bakhtin, Rojo, Schneuwly e
Dolz. Conceptions of reading and writing present in the PCN are also discussed. Other notions such as genre, discursive activity and the role of the announcer and interlocutor are included to broaden the discussion about the ways that the school could effectively take the text as an essential instrument for the work to be done with language.
