Alelopatia Valquíria dos Reis Paiva

Resumo - Alelopatia é definida como qualquer efeito direto ou indireto, benéfico ou prejudicial, de uma planta sobre outra, mediante produção de compostos químicos que são liberados no ambiente. Este trabalho tem como objetivo conhecer os principais efeitos das substâncias alelopáticas na relação planta-planta e a importância de se obter a partir do conhecimento desta ciência uma alternativa de combate às plantas invasoras dispensando a utilização dos herbicidas, que são poluentes do ambiente. O artigo é uma revisão de literatura sobre a atuação da alelopatia nos sistemas de culturas agrícolas e tem caráter informativo sobre os principais pressupostos da alelopatia e suas atuações em agrossistemas.

Abstract - Allelopathy is defined as any indirect or direct, beneficial or damageful effect, from a plant to any other, resulted from the production of chemical products which are released (or launched) in environment. The objective of this work is to know the main effects of the allelopathic substances in the relation plant-plant and the importance of how we can get an alternative to combat invasive plants based on the knowledge of this science and therefore to avoid utilizing herbicides which cause the pollution of the environment. The article is a revision of literature under the actuation of the allelopathy in the crop systems and it has an informative character about the principal purposes of the allelopathy and its interactions in agrosystems.

Introdução
Alelopatia trata-se de qualquer efeito benéfico ou maléfico de substâncias químicas liberadas por um vegetal na atmosfera ou quase sempre no solo, impedindo assim, a germinação de sementes, o crescimento e o desenvolvimento de outros vegetais ao seu redor. Os compostos alelopáticos podem ser liberados através de diversas maneiras como: lixiviação (quando um composto alelopático sólido é liberado pela parte aérea ou raiz de uma planta e é solvido em água no meio
