RESUMO
Este trabalho tem por objetivo, investigar o emprego da sinonímia como mecanismo de coesão lexical em textos argumentativos e mostrar as estruturas de uma produção textual focada na sinonímia, valor sinonímico e as diferenças denotativas ou conotativas de uma produção de texto. Em um determinado texto, verificar os sentidos das palavras e expressões destacadas, e substituí-las por outras que não alterem o sentido global do texto. Caso a substituição não seja possível, o autor orienta manter a palavra original. Usar uma lista de palavras que são dadas isoladas como sinônimas, à maneira de muitos livros didáticos. Desta forma esta pesquisa utilizou uma metodologia por meio de revisão literária, concluindo que a semântica por ser uma ciência recente, faz sentido usar como recurso a sinonímia na produção de textos argumentativos.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to investigate the use of synonymy as a mechanism of lexical cohesion in argumentative texts and show the structures of a text production focused on synonymy, synonymic value and denotative or connotative differences of a text. In a given text, check the meanings of words and phrases highlighted, and replace them with others that do not alter the overall meaning of the text. If the substitution is not possible, the author guides keep the original word. Using a list of words that are given as synonyms isolated in the manner of many textbooks. Thus this research used
