ABSTRACT In this report we describe the activities of elective 3rd year of medical school at the University of Southern Brazil. Such activities have been developed in the areas of rheumatology and nephrology. In rheumatology, the program took place in the outpatient adult health (UNIPLAC), Polyclinic in Lages and AMURES Consortium. The activities involved the observation of the medical practice of guiding rheumatologist, case discussion and presentation of

concepts that are common to all antennas. In the present chapter, the discussion is focused on the specific properties of several representative classes of antennas that are commonly used.
