I chose this song because I really like it. My favorite singer Avril Lavigne made a cover of it and so i started to like it even more. The song is about the sadness of the hunger, poorness, homeless people, wars, deaths and etc. And I think the world should “Put their guns in the ground” too. Because we can’t continue pretending that those things doesn’t exist.These people need our help. The world needs our help. And this is what I think.
* About the song
"Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is a song written and sung by Bob Dylan for the soundtrack of the 1973 film Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. It reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The song describes the feelings and impressions of a dying deputy, who can no longer continue his role as a law enforcer. The song consists of four chords in the key of G major: G, D, Am7, and C. The basic pattern throughout the song is G-D-Am7-Am7 and then G-D-C-C, and this is repeated. Over the years, Dylan has changed the lyrics, as have others who have performed this song. Musically the song is very similar to Neil Young's song "Helpless", recorded in 1969. Musicians like Arthur Louis, Eric Clapton, The Grateful Dead, Guns N’ Roses, The Alarm and Avril Lavigne have already made covers versions for this song.
