1 INTRODUCTION

Built around 4.500BC, the pyramids of Egypt resists until today. Actually, about eighty pyramids are known, being the biggest and more preserved one located in Giza. Although the pyramids have an apparently simple architecture, they are surrounded by mysteries, and arouse interest of historians, archaeologists and scholars of ancient civilizations. Thereafter, there are a number of fantastic theories about the construction, involving magical powers, aliens and other mysterious entities. One of the reasons behind all these speculations is that the construction of the Great Pyramid is a work so advanced that even our modern engineering wouldn´t be able to reproduce it. Another idea is that the dimensions of the pyramid hide numerous knowledge that wouldn´t be within reach of the civilizations of the time.
