In my presentation I will talk about a historical town of rivers, waterfalls and lot of green, Quatis!
Back in time
Quatis was emancipated from Barra Mansa in 1990 and it became famous because of its carnival that unfortunately, since some time ago, has fallen into decay.
The city has this name due to the animal: coati and according to the history, It was really difficult to discover Quatis owing to a geographic barrier formed by Serra do Mar.
Reasons for being undervalued
These are some reasons for Quatis being undervalued: it can be because of the government’s negligence, because Quatis is only 21 years, or due to be a really small city having few ways of accessing or for not being widely known.
A place of Rivers and History
Quatis is an ideal place for who likes eco-tourism and the city holds many waterfalls and rivers, without mentioning several options for walks, trails and horseback riding.
It’s also an historical city with some monuments considered as cultural patrimony. Simultaneously, like any small town, is an ideal place for those who enjoy peace and want to relax.

Now, Good options to stay in Quatis:
You can stay in Pôr do Sol Inn that has 17 apartments, game room, swimming pool, soccer field and waterslide.
Or if you like Farm Hotel, you will have two options:
First, Lagos do Vale Farm hotel with 25 chalets, restaurant, swimming pool, playground, pedal boats and paid fishing pond.
Second, Bom Retiro Farm Hotel that is simpler, but it’s really comfortable with 26 apartments and restaurant.
So, what are you waiting for? After all these leisure options showed, you have two options: Go to Quatis and see with your own eyes what this place can offer to you and to your family and friends or keep going to the same places year after year.
