Breve retrospectiva histórica

The authoress begins the text with a reflection about how slave of technology we are, explaining that nowadays it is very important to our daily tasks. Paiva explains that we take a long time to get used to a new technology, once we reject it and after a period of experience we accept it in our lives. A discussion about the origin of the book, the codex, and the influence of Catholic Church is also started, Bronson gates; Michael rogues and the authoress affirms that they were censured when they appeared. The origin and censorship of didactic books are also commented, and a very interesting point of view of this subject is transmitted to us. After this moment, we read a brief explanation about censorship related to computers in classrooms, and then, the authoress starts to discuss the use of technology in the process of learning a language. Paiva shows us a long and interesting explanation about the origin and the possible use of audio and video technologies, always making a relation with Education. Then, the story of television is told to us, such as the appearance of some educative channels and their use in the scholar under. The studious presents us the reasons why computer was invented and its possible uses in a classroom. Paiva also discuss the perspectives of other authors, as Kelly, and theirs opinion about teaching utilizing computers. Another interesting part occurred when the authoress presented us the origin of computer story up to nowadays, by a timeline. To conclude, the studious affirms that the government has done a great effort to computers be used more frequently in schools and universities, giving opportunity to students, teachers and professors get more used to this new technology. This was a very good reflection about how we can use these objects to improve our learning/teaching
