RESUMO

A migração do pinguim de Magalhães está relacionada com a das anchovas que ocorre durante o inverno quando há a penetração da corrente das Malvinas. Analisou-se o período em que os pinguins ocorreram nas praias do Norte de SP e Sul do RJ e as relações com a TSM, CSM e anos de El Niño e La Niña. Para os resultados foram utilizados, o
Coeficiente de Pearson e a base de dados do NOAA de 2000 a 2007. Os indivíduos encontrados nesse período tiveram relação significativa com a CSM, não significativa com
TSM e nenhuma com os anos dos fenômenos.

ABSTRACT

The migration of Megellanic penguim is related with the one of the anchovies that happens during the winter, when there is the penetration of the Falklands current. There were analyzed the period which the penguins had occurred in the beaches of the North of SP and South of RJ and the relationships with TSM, CSM and years of El Niño and La Niña. For the results there were used the Pearson Coefficient and the data base of NOAA from 2000 to
2007. The individuals found in that period had significant relationship with CSM, no significant with TSM and none with the years of the phenomena.
