Abstract: This paper aims to describe the importance of the ten classes of Spring 5.2.3
Tutorial Portuguese program, used during the lessons of discipline “Introduction to GIS”, the course of Geography, “Universidade Federal de São João Del Rei (UFSJ)”. We know the importance of working with a program that allows knowing the step by step process of georeferencing, since this is one of the areas of greatest influence of Geography on the labor market. For ten classes, the whole process of GIS images obtained by satellite and radar was working: reading, recording, processing, classification, manipulation of vector data and numerical modeling. Making room for further spatial analysis and query of banks formed data, as well as generating and printing letters. In addition to meeting and working with
Spring, this opportunity seemed to be relevant to the extent that progress was noticed and the greater understanding of the discipline through practical activity that was developed. The classes were mostly dependent on each other, which precluded the advancement of exercise failing to fulfill any of the lessons. Each class was developed following the planning each pair, with students having the option to choose between performing them at home or in college, under the guidance of the teacher.
