RESUMO

A atuação do contador no mercado de trabalho é muito ampla, tem muita opção de emprego, desde autônomo, professor, em órgãos públicos, entre outras, porém as pessoas que conseguem destacar-se nesse mercado são aquelas que têm o diferencial que a profissão exige. Este trabalho inicia com um breve histórico da contabilidade, desde seu surgimento, passando pelos diversos períodos, tanto no mundo, quanto no Brasil. Mostra ainda as múltiplas áreas de possível atuação do profissional Contábil, também se verificam algumas evidências da evolução do perfil do Contabilista.

ABSTRACT

The role of the accountant in the labor market is very large, has a lot of employment option, since autonomous, teacher, public agencies, among others, but people who can stand out in this market are those with the difference that the profession requires. This paper begins with a brief history of accounting, since its inception, through the various periods, both in the world and in Brazil. It also shows multiple areas of possible role of professional Accounting, there are also shows the evolutions of the accounting profile.
