Resumo: A novela brasileira Dancin’ Days, na época em que foi veiculada originalmente, em 1978, foi motivo de grandes manifestações. Seja pela ‘Era Disco’, em seu auge, com seu ritmo dançante que embalava as noites pelo mundo afora, ou pelo figurino inovador da personagem Júlia Matos, que incendiava os televisores da época com um traje colorido e brilhante, e seu jeito de dançar na discoteca fictícia dentro da novela. Enquanto o ‘Tony Manero’ de John Travolta em “Saturday Night Fever”, de 1978, era o modelo a ser seguido pelos homens da época, Júlia Matos, interpretada pela atriz Sônia Braga, se tornou o ícone de uma geração de mulheres que se embalavam ao som da disco music. Este artigo consiste em averiguar o processo de criação de figurino da personagem e os motivos que o levaram ao sucesso nas ruas de todo o Brasil.

Abstract: The Brazilian telenovela “Dancin’ Days”, originally broadcasted in 1978, was the reason of many cultural revolutions. Could be “The Disco Era”, at its peak, with a dance rhythm that rocked the nights all over the world or the Júlia Matos’ costume, colorful and shiny, the leading figure that burned the televisions of that period at the fictitious discothèque in the telenovela.
