O PAPEL DO ENFERMEIRO DIANTE DA PROMOÇÃO DO ALEITAMENTO MATERNO EXCLUSIVO

RESUMO

O eixo temático deste artigo é discorrer a atuação do enfermeiro diante da promoção do aleitamento materno exclusivo. Com isso, o corpo teórico se constrói através da revisão da literatura exercida pela pesquisa bibliográfica aos periódicos de 2001 – 2009. Os resultados das investigações pesquisadas indicam que a média de aleitamento materno exclusivo é de 90 dias. O desmame precoce esta relacionado em grande parte a: menor poder aquisitivo, mães adolescentes, solteiras, grau de escolaridade até o nível médio, desempregadas, trabalhadoras informais, étnica negro-pardas, primíparas, alojamento separado no hospital, uso da chupeta e de mamadeiras. Consideram ainda os estudos como fundamental para o papel do profissional através da informação e apoio desde o pré-natal até o puerpério no entendimento das mães sobre a relevância do aleitamento materno exclusivo.

ABSTRACT

The main theme of this paper is to discuss the role of a nurse on the promotion of exclusive breastfeeding. Thus, the theoretical framework is constructed through literature review conducted by the periodical literature from 2001 to 2009. The results of the investigations surveyed indicate that the average duration of exclusive breastfeeding is 90 days. Early weaning is related largely to: lower income, teenage mothers, unmarried, schooling until high school, unemployed, informal workers, ethnic black-brown, primiparous, separate accommodation in the hospital, use of pacifiers and bottles . Studies still consider as fundamental to the role of the professional through information and support from the prenatal to the postpartum mothers on the understanding of the importance of
